Best Organic Mattress For Kids

The best green and environmentally friendly
I found a lot of large green and eco-friendly products since I started writing my blog, MissMalaprop.com in August 2006. I had the opportunity to personally try a number of them, and now I'm no organic products totally swear by. Below is a summary of some of my favorite green and environmentally friendly products.
Green Daily
Change can come in two forms, large and small – one of my first posts was all about taking small steps to change the world. One of my favorite blogs Green, Tiny options, also believes that small steps can add up to a big difference, like the people behind Ideal Bite, which is a free great resource for learning easy ways to go green. Your daily e-newsletter is full of information and advice – I've learned about lots of environmental problems and solutions of their e-mails!
Choose to reuse! Reusable Envirosax shopping bags are my personal favorites for shopping and everyday use. I keep at least a couple of these folded in the bag at all times, and fold very small, so it's easy! I I'm also a big fan of water bottles by Earthlust stainless steel. I keep mine with me at work and find myself drinking more water in these days! Even the choice of more reusable disposable chopsticks can be added to make a big difference. The reduction is another important part of helping the environment. I've written about a lot of ways to reduce and eliminate junk mail.
Emissions Carbohydrates are a major problem in regard to the environment. One of the easiest things you can do is make sure to leave your car idling – if it is warm in winter (most modern cars do not need to do this anymore anyway) or maintenance of the A / C at rest in summer is bad for emissions and gas that is losing money! I'm also a big supporter of local purchases as much as possible, to reduce food-miles and supporting the local economy.
Health & Beauty
Since reading the book Living Green, I've become more aware of all the nasty chemicals that are commonly found in things we use every day, and I find myself reading the labels so much closer. (See the Green Guide for a list of major chemicals to avoid.) There are a couple of products I've tried to see if it would be better than conventional alternatives, and now I swear by them.
Hall Soap Company Manor wash your face is my favorite. Not only is all natural and made from organic ingredients, is also handmade! I was skeptical the first time I tried to deodorant glass, but now that I've done it through a summer of using this material instead of deodorant with chemicals related to cancer, definitely I'm a fan!
Anti-body is a large fair trade company that makes outstanding products for body care, including balsam mint lip surprising that I use every night. If you are an open minded woman, check out my post about and handmade eco-friendly alternative menstrual – There are a lot of scary chemicals in traditional pads or tampons, not to mention the garbage they produce!
Is looking for a better alternative toothbrush? Check out the ecological Recycline toothbrushes and razors made from recycled plastics.
Home Decor
Chemicals afraid? They are not just things we put into our bodies, but also all around our homes. Traditional vinyl siding shower curtain emit chemicals that can be breathed in while showering. I found a curtain EnviroCurtain called impressive recycled shower that works as a liner or shower curtain only what you need!
Alternatives green cleaning, check out these incredible handmade eco-friendly dish sponges or treat range of cleaning products Seventh Generation, which is what we use at home. You can also make your own clean, low-cost home with products that should be in your kitchen. Soap Nuts are another great all-natural alternative to laundry, but all types of cleaning needs.
If you are in the market for a new mattress, and wants to go as green as possible, the search Craigslist for a used mattress unwanted (these are often still in perfect state!) or try one of the friendly organic mattresses and pillows of Keets.
In the search for a way to get rid of insects and pests without a lot of nasty chemicals? EcoSMART error organic aerosols are safe around children and pets. And if you're looking to green up your home office, check out the Green Office for a lot of recycled office alternatives.
Fashion & Accessories
It's becoming much easier to find more sustainable alternatives when you are shopping for fashion these days, whether clothes, shoes or accessories, and if you want mainstream brands or products handmade by independent artists.
For shoes, try the shoes and boots vegan shoes TOMS. They are a very large company gives a pair of shoes to a child in need for each pair of shoes purchased, and all shoes are manufactured under fair trade practices. If I can not get enough of the flip-flops, give the eco-friendly fair flip-flop by Feelgoodz a chance. (My friend Bridget did and said are the most comfortable flip-flop that is ever used – and is an avid Users of the flip-flop) and if it is running shoes you like, check out the eco-friendly shoes Brooks.
Incredible as indie fashion eco-friendly, there are so many brands that I love! Gaia Conceptions organic clothing is one of my favorites large bases in solid colors and organic fabrics, and each piece is crafted in the USA. I also really like the recycled garments handmade by Hayley Lau of heidi and seek ethical clothing. For the environmentally friendly way in a wide range of sizes (XS through 4X), check out the sustainables Mewv.
Toggery by Kate D'Arcy is another and is environmentally friendly fashion line-up. All done in the U.S., and each piece is a classic – I have a cap here I know you'll love for a long time. Parts of the League of Lovers and Thieves make me think of the couture meets eco fashion, only at reasonable prices. Her clothing is beautiful to die!
If you like comfortable soft organic t-shirts, Artevist you love, which is like a thread for all eco-conscious. If you want to get life possible most of your jeans old, check out Denim Therapy, which offers a specialized service to repair and rebuild their broken and torn favorite jeans.
Consider how environmentally friendly can not be sexy? lines of lingerie and sleepwear and lingerie and sustainable Sandmaiden Enamore lingerie are out to prove that wrong with her stunning looks from the best organic and sustainable fabrics.
There all kinds of cool handbags out there from a variety of recycled materials and sustainable. I could not possible list them all, but for starters, check out the Ecoist bags, which are made from recycled candy wrappers and movie times, or take a recycled necktie clutch purse in the city. To those who want something a little simpler, Reware recycling bags are made in the U.S. and do not provide bags, but also solar powered backpacks that are great for boys and girls.
Going Green Books
Want to know more about how to go green and make a difference? There are plenty of books on the market at this time on that. I never have time to read them all, and I hope it does not well, here are some that I have read and really enjoyed it.
Green Life, which I mentioned earlier, was one of the first books I read about making the switch to a more sustainable lifestyle, and really opened my eyes to all the toxins and chemicals that surround us in life daily. Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a better understanding of how environmentalism is not just good, but also their personal health and your family's health.
Green Chic: Saving the Earth in Style is a fun read for the ladies who want to go green, but I do not want to sacrifice style to do so. It's really very informative, while a quick and easy to read at the same time.
No a lot of books about to go green to suit specific events. The Green Bride Guide is a must read for anyone planning a wedding. (Also You can see my post on more width = "http://www.missmalaprop.com/2007/02/eco-friendly-wedding-options/" eco-friendly wedding options>.) Days of party can be another time of year is traditionally consumer waste and impulsado.-very green Christmas: How to Have a happy, friendly environment holiday season is full of tips on how to celebrate the holidays in their own way and keep the impact on the land to a minimum.
If you are trying for their children to participate in going green, I recommend the Gaia Girls books. Even as an adult, I loved the Reading these, especially the second book, The Way of Water. The series is not out yet, and I can not wait to read the rest! (These are a kind of eco-conscious Harry Potter.)
Books are full of paper and this means that trees must be cut for production. Try looking to the editors using recycled paper and green ink in printing. (Most of the books mentioned above do.) You can also find ways to recycle books, either by using your local library or on sites like PaperBackSwap allowing trade and recycle old books you've already read for those without.
I hope this list provides a good starting point and some ideas on easy things you can do to change their habits to the green! I'm always in search of alternative environmentally friendly. If you are looking for a specific type of product and think I might be able to help to find what you're looking for, please contact me and I will try my best to help!
